Here we are on the external hardware of the computer system, their types, functions and how they can be used to focus. A correct understanding of this subject is concerned, as the computer novices will help immensely as they know best to use these devices.
Hardware:
The hardware are the parts of a computer itself, including the Central Processing Unit (CPU) and associated micro-chips and micro-circuitry, keyboards, monitors, case and drives (floppy, hard drive,CDs, DVDs, optical, tape, etc. ..). Other add-ons called peripheral components or devices include mouse, printers, modems, scanners, digital cameras and cards (sound, color, video), etc. .. Together, they are often referred to as personal computers or PCs.
Monitor:
The monitor is an output device that displays information on the screen when writing. Without the monitor, you can not see what is happening on your computer. This is known as outbound information. If your computermore information is needed, a message appears on the screen, usually through a dialog box. The monitors are available in many styles and sizes from simple monochrome (black and white), color screen displays.
Most desktop computer with a monitor with a cathode ray tube and most notebooks or portable systems use a liquid crystal display (LCD). To take full advantage of today's software with color graphics and animation, computers need a color monitor with a display or graphicsCard
Keyboard:
The keyboard is an input device in the transmission of information in the computer or input information used. There are many different keyboard layouts and sizes with the most common languages of Latin basis, the QWERTY layout (named after the first 6 keys). The standard keyboard has 101 keys, while the enhanced keyboard has 104 keys and above.
Some keys have a special use. It's called the command key or a computer. Top 5 are theFlight or escape, or CTRL Control, Alt and Shift while alternative or may be (the Windows key, for example, or the Command key). Each key on a standard keyboard has one or two characters. Press the button to get the character down and hold the Shift key to get to the top.
Sections in a keyboard:
(1) program works area (F1 - F12)
(2) Entering the field or an alphanumeric (combination of letters and numbers)
(3) the movement area or dedicated cursor keys (8 inNumber)
(4) keyboard (this section of the keyboard is the control by the Num Lock is, if the Num Lock LED lights up, the number of functions, but when turned off, the commands will accept written below the numbers)
(5) The status indicator (Indicates the Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock Light)
(6) computer keys (such as nutrition, sleep, wake up, pause, etc.)
Keyboard Layout and Data Entry:
Enter - Moves the cursor down one row and to the left edge.Include the job commands as an option in a dialog (message) boxes and a form.
Del or Delete - Deletes the character at the cursor and / or right of the cursor and all highlighted (or selected) text.
Bksp or Backspace - Deletes the character to the left and all the brilliant text.
Space Bar - Moves the cursor one character at a time on the right side
Shift Key - Use the Shift key to type capital letters and type on the upperCharacters on the keys with two characters on them.
Caps Lock - Lock the keypad to type in capital letters (a light comes on when the Caps Lock key is on)
Tab - Moves the cursor five spaces to the right (number of spaces are usually adjustable). Tab to the next field in a form or table (Shift-Tab for previous field).
Escape or Escape - Cancels a menu box or dialog box
Arrow keys - Move the cursor to the document without text
Function keys or function keys - access controlsalone or in combination with the three command buttons, CTRL, SHIFT and ALT
Command or special keys:
Control keys not normally alone, but work in combination with other keys. Any software that allows you to use the control keys in a different way if there was a movement to standardize some functions. Control or Ctrl key is often used to access commands. The alternative, or Alt key is often used in menus. The shift key is used in capital letters. In addition to the commandThe keys are used to move through documents and edit text faster and easier. In addition to many computers have Special keys design specifically for your particular computer. Many keyboards now have a Windows key specifically for Windows 9x and newer systems.
Basic Typing Rules:
Insert a space between each word, after a punctuation mark at the end of a sentence. Always start a sentence with a capital letter. Use capital letters for names, addresses, provinces and countries, places,Organizations, companies, associations, schools, colleges, universities, day of week, months, days, nationalities, ethnicities and languages.
Learning the keyboard is the first step to learning computers. Learning involves practice. It 'really that simple. There are two types of input.
The first is called Touch Typing. The touch-typist uses the home keys (asdf for the left hand and jkl; right) and all the fingers of both hands and fingers crossedthe space bar while typing. There are many commercial and public domain programs to teach this method.
Mouse:
This is another input device, which is exclusively controlled by a mouse pointer. Generally, if your mouse has two buttons on the left to use to select objects and text, and the right is used to access the menus. If your mouse has a button (Mac for example) that controls the whole activity and a mouse can be used by special software, with a third buttonPrograms.
One type of mouse has a round ball under the bottom of the mouse, the roles and makes two wheels that control the direction of the pointer on the screen. Another type of mouse uses an optical system to monitor the movement of the mouse.
Note: It is important to clean the mouse periodically, especially if it is slow. A mouse ball has a small round disk that can be opened, allowing you to remove the bullet. Lint can be removed with a toothpick, orTweezers and the ball may be cleaned with a mild detergent. A building is just to accumulate on the wheels inside the mouse. Use a small instrument or finger nail to scrape the wheels do not scratch. Can be like a trackball mouse and touch pad can be cleaned with a damp cloth. An optical mouse may be material from the surface that comes into contact with to be removed with a fingernail or small tool able to collect.
The mouse works in threeForms
(1) shows: This is an act of positioning the mouse pointer on the icon of a particular place. In this case, nothing happens.
(2) Click: This is an act of pressing the left mouse button once or twice for a double click to execute a command.
(3) Drag: It 'an act of pressing the left mouse button and move the mouse. This action allows users to draw objects and rushing from one place to another.
Central Processing Unit (CPU):
This is theBrain or engine of the computer system that controls every manipulation. Although the term refers to a specific processor chip or a CPU's performance is determined by the rest of the circuits and computer chips.
Currently Pentium chip or processor from Intel is the most common CPUs, although it can produce many other companies, PC processors. Examples of CPUs from AMD and Motorola are made. With faster processors the clock speed is alwaysis important.
Compared to some of the first computers, which started less than 30 megahertz (MHz) 75 MHz Pentium chip, operated at the end of 1990. Speed is now more than 3000 + MHz or 3 gigahertz (GHz) and different chip manufacturers use different measurement standards (check your local computer store for the latest speed). Depends on the board that the chip is housed, or the motherboard, as if you are able to switch to a faster chip. The motherboard contains theCircuits and connections that the various components can communicate with each other.
Although there were many computers with processors long before I call the 80286 processor the advent of home computers as these processors, the computer is available, the average person have been made. Using a processor before the 286 involved learning a proprietary system and software. Most new applications for the newest and fastest processors developed so that it can bedifficult to use an old computer. These are the four main parts of the computer system that can not do without the computer.
